So You Know

Sometimes I totally use this blog.Preparing for a post, writing the post, editing the post and lurking on other blogs all make for great dips into irresponsibility brewing into all kinds of guilt which leads to shirking the things I absolutely should be doing.

I just thought you should know. :)

Shhh don't ell anyone, but I used watching my kids as an excuse for not painting the garage or the gutters this weekend.

Mel, really??!?!? It's a good thing you have a job so you can devote yourself to reading and posting on a regular basis!!!! They have got some weird filters at work so, unfortunately, I cannot do my work at work!!!!!

Billie, you're too cute...but hundreds....I think not. I'm just grateful for the handful who keep coming back....

Big Kev, your secret's safe here...but is watching the kids really a good excuse to not paint the garage??? Not unless you were watching the ball game with them to "teach" them about sports or something like that....

Welllllll I couldn't possibly watch 3 kids and give them the attention they deserve, while painting the gutters and garage. The kids deserve my attention, especially in these formative years.
PS My wife bought it.

Funny, I spent the weekend "fixing" all of the computers at home to avoid doing yardwork. Oh plenty of time for that, but our pc's needed scans and cleanouts and updates. Oh so tedious and technical.

Twenty lashes with a wet noodle for you. As long as nobody realizes that I avoided washing clothes this weekend because I thought my daughter should spend more time outside and I needed to supervise her of course.

Terrible. Horrible. Heinous.
For shame, Brenda, for shame.

Thanks for letting us know, but we still love you.

Steve, well thank you, thank you very much....(imagine Elvis-like tone).

Yeah...I am more excited about reading other people's blogs than doing my job...but I hate my job anyway, so at least my mind is stimulated.

EAS, I TOTALLY understand. Children always come first. Ahem.

Paisley, listen girl. You're living my dream. I work AND I'm still broke! I'd rather be you....

Nutter: (blushing) I feel so bad. How could I let you down!!!!!

Still Confused, you know what? I feel like I'm really contributing to the world now. I don't need to feed the homeless, rescue endangered animals or conquer global warming/global cooling (which ever you believe)--not that I was doing that before. I just don't have to feel guilty because I am providing useful brain-enriching content! :)

One of the great injustices of my life is that I am unable to read blogs at work. I mean, what's the point of going to work to actually work? I am guilty of a bit of shirking, I must admit. I love to read a good blog. And then another. And then another. People tell me to get a life but I tell them I already have one - and it's in the blogosphere.
