Gratitude

I wanted to express my sincere thanks to those of you who visit and read my stuff--especially the nonbloggers and the diehard bloggers.

I despise that some bloggers believe visiting a site is all about quid pro quo. In my erratic posting of late, I noticed that some bloggers who's sites I haven't visited lately have consequentially halted their visits here. Let me just be clear: If you're reading this simply because I visit you, you can leave now. And don't come back.

That's why I so appreciate the nonbloggers who have nothing to gain by reading, posting, e-mailing me --- I appreciate the time and attention you take. There's no secret agenda. It still boggles my mind that you guys keep coming back to listen to my stuff.

Then there are my diehard blogging buddies who come back again and again regardless of how often I've gone to them and how frequently I post. They send me messages asking if I'm OK if I've been quiet too long and offer all kinds of support. You're here for the right reasons and it shows.

So THANK YOU. Really.

I'm a little confused about what category I fall into here. I read every single one of your posts but don't always comment.

You haven't been near my blog in months (long before I went private) but according to what I understand here that is perfectly ok but we should get lost if we have stopped coming here because you stopped visiting us. Have I got it right?

Seems to me friendships cut both ways and the rules should apply equally to both parties but that's just my interpretation for what it's worth.

Gypsy, I'm not talking about commenting vs. reading. I meant bloggers who basically think if you don't visit mine, I won't visit yours. If you don't list me on your blogroll, I won't list you on yours. I would like to think if bloggers visit a site, then they're because they enjoy it etc. Not because of some tit for tat. That's what I meant. And I am sorry but I did not go absent for months --that's not true. There was a time for about a month that I didn't write and I didn't visit any one.
Sometimes I go directly from your address or a google search -- not always from my site.
I have always delighted in reading you and if you are upset with me in any way please shoot me an e-mail--you sound pissed off. I never meant or intended to offend you, but in case I did, I am truly sorry.

I think I have to read your blog. With my zero thinking required, insignificant job, I need something to keep me from turning into a mindless wage slave.

I sure can't depend on the TV. After ten minutes of watching the news I start mumbling. "Iraq war good". "Must spend all money". "Mission accomplished". "I want my baby back, baby back, baby back".....

*phew!*

I think we're both in odd places right now...and blogging has been a victim of that.

well. I am here woman! I am on Dood Detail. Don't you worry your pretty little head.

Jay, it's too late for me. I AM a mindless wage slave.

SomeGirl, no "phew" needed -- you are a very gifted writer and I always enjoy reading your stuff. ALways. Plus, I so appreciate you (and all you others) feel like strolling over here and reading my stuff. Really.

Mel, I've said it before -- I'll say it again....YOU R THE BEST! Plus, I am still LMAO at that Mom's Birthday Party post. I mean it. I can't wait to go read your 80s post.

Now I feel bad cause I haven't visited for about 5 days (but I've been sick.) You know I love you, don't you? Don't you?

Look, I read this blog because I like what you have to say and where you're coming from. I'm not into quid pro quo either. You are one of my faves and I will read you no matter what. So there!
